I had read some reviews that said it left the hair heavy and clumpy, but I would assume this would happen if you used too much. I was extremely satisfied with my purchase. It smells great, it didn't leave my hair feeling heavy and oily, and it had great bounce and fullness to it. This was a MAJOR accomplishment for me because I have VERY thick, tightly-curled, and mid-back length, multi-ethnic hair. I didn't give it 5 stars because it didn't keep my hair straight for 12 hrs as it said it would. It was kind of humid that day, and after about 6 hrs outside tailgating and attending my school's football game, my hair was a bit frizzy. This wasn't a surprise because my hair tends to be a bit porous, but I was hoping for a little less frizziness since I was using this product. I did use some leave-in... It says "straightens hair up to 12 hrs". Sounded good to me. I washed and towel dried my hair, then applied the product. The sprayer was not very good at dispursing the product as it came out in more of a stream than spray. I might find a better nozzle and try it again. I blow dried my hair and didn't find that it made much of difference. Actually, it made my hair a little stiff with a tendency to clump.And actually a little bit sticky. Instead of nice, soft, individual sleek strands. This product might be better for someone with thin hair, as it did seem to add volume. Which I was trying to get under control. It does a fantastic job and my hair is no longer frizzy or over-dry after blow-drying. I used to have trouble with my hair feeling strawlike and brittle after using styling tools, but this combination seems to be preventing that. I'm very pleased and I highly recommend both Heat Defeat and the Daily Nourishment sprays. They are great products for a reasonable cost and they do their jobs well. |
